What you will be able to do

  • Reconcile a ledger against a bank statement and name the rows that do not match
  • Age receivables into buckets and flag what is past terms
  • Total by account code on more than one condition
  • Explain why two apparently identical values fail to match
  • Build a month-end summary that survives next month's data

Who this is for

  • Accountants and bookkeepers who close the month in Excel
  • Finance graduates preparing for an Excel test
  • Anyone whose job is two lists that should agree

Modules

  1. 1. Accounting Essentials

    4 exercises

Line totals, margins, percentages and transaction summaries — the arithmetic the rest of the close rests on.

  2. 2. Invoice & Vendor Analysis

    6 exercises

Looking up a price or a term, spotting the same invoice entered twice, and working out how old a receivable is.

  3. 3. Bank Reconciliation

    3 exercises

Matching transactions across two lists, finding the unmatched entries, and diagnosing the values that refuse to match at all.

  4. 4. Totals by Account Code

    3 exercises

Conditional sums and counts, the argument order that trips everyone, and a summary grid that fills two ways.

  5. 5. Accounts Receivable Ageing

    Being written

Ageing buckets, overdue classification and collection summaries. Being written — needs EOMONTH and bucketed IF logic the library does not cover yet.

  6. 6. Budget vs Actual

    Being written

Absolute and percentage variance, tolerance flags and department summaries. Being written — the library has no variance exercise at all today.

  7. 7. Month-End Reporting

    Being written

Period summaries and a management report built from a transaction list. Being written.

3 of 7 modules still need exercises that do not exist on the site yet. That is why this pack is not on sale: the honest position is to show the syllabus and the gap rather than sell an outline.

What is included

Practice workbooks
One .xlsx per module, with the dataset filled in and the answer cells left blank. Column widths, number formats and labelled blocks — not a flat CSV dump.
Solution workbooks
The working formula for every answer cell, plus why it works and the mistake people make instead. This is the half a downloaded file normally cannot give you.
Quick guides
A one-page reference per function covering syntax, a worked example and where it goes wrong.
Progress tracker
A sheet listing every exercise with its skill and level, so you can see what is left.
Practice online
Every exercise links back to its interactive version on the site, where a wrong formula gets diagnosed rather than just marked wrong.

Format: standard .xlsx workbooks, no macros. 14 of the 16 exercises arrive as workbook sheets; the other 2 are keyboard and multiple-choice drills with no spreadsheet to fill in, so they are practised online.

Questions

Why is this pack not available yet?

Because it would not be honest to sell it yet. Four of its seven modules — receivables ageing, budget variance, month-end reporting and part of vendor analysis — need exercises that do not exist on the site. Rather than pad the pack with generic business exercises and call them accounting, the modules are listed as unbuilt and the pack is not for sale.

What can I practise in the meantime?

The accounting practice page has 22 free interactive exercises tagged to accounting work, covering reconciliation, invoice ageing, duplicate detection and conditional totals. That is the material the first four modules here are built from.

Will the price change at launch?

The price shown is the intended launch price. If it changes it will be stated here rather than quietly adjusted.
