What you will be able to do
- Answer the VLOOKUP-versus-XLOOKUP question with the reason, not the definition
- Clean messy data under time pressure
- Retrieve a value from a master table without rearranging the data
- Spot duplicate records and explain your method
- Read an error code and say what caused it
Who this is for
- Anyone with an Excel test in a hiring process
- Analysts and graduates preparing for interviews
- People who can do the work but freeze when asked to explain it
Modules
1. Judgement Questions
6 exercisesWhich function to reach for, what an error code means, and when a function genuinely cannot do the job.
2. Keyboard Speed
6 exercisesThe shortcuts an interviewer notices you not using while they watch you work.
3. Tasks They Actually Set
5 exercisesThe four or five things an Excel test asks for: a lookup, a conditional total, a cleanup, a summary, and a formula someone else got wrong.
4. Spoken Answers
Being writtenWritten model answers to the questions that are asked out loud. Being written — 8 exist against a target of roughly 40.
5. Timed Assessments
Being writtenThree full tests against the clock. Being written — needs timing support the site does not have yet.
2 of 5 modules still need exercises that do not exist on the site yet. That is why this pack is not on sale: the honest position is to show the syllabus and the gap rather than sell an outline.
What is included
- Practice workbooks
- One .xlsx per module, with the dataset filled in and the answer cells left blank. Column widths, number formats and labelled blocks — not a flat CSV dump.
- Solution workbooks
- The working formula for every answer cell, plus why it works and the mistake people make instead. This is the half a downloaded file normally cannot give you.
- Quick guides
- A one-page reference per function covering syntax, a worked example and where it goes wrong.
- Progress tracker
- A sheet listing every exercise with its skill and level, so you can see what is left.
- Practice online
- Every exercise links back to its interactive version on the site, where a wrong formula gets diagnosed rather than just marked wrong.
Format: standard .xlsx workbooks, no macros. 5 of the 17 exercises arrive as workbook sheets; the other 12 are keyboard and multiple-choice drills with no spreadsheet to fill in, so they are practised online.
